I have been designing my own kits since January 2008 using only free resources that I have gathered from around the internet, that is one of the reasons why I give them away for free. I am still very new to designing, but I feel I have learned a lot in the few months I have been doing this, although I still have a LOT more to learn!
The main reason I make only freebies is to give a little back for all I have “gathered” in the last year, it’s my version of “pay-it-forward”.
Now on to the technical side of my kits. I stumbled upon part of the 200 dpi vs. 300 dpi discussion a short time ago, and after doing further research and testing it for myself, I decided to create my kits in 200 dpi rather than 300. The difference in print quality is virtually indiscernible, yet the file sizes at 200 dpi are much smaller!! If you are like me and have an almost endless supply of digiscrapping “stuff” on your hard drive, file sizes can become very important. I know I’ve passed up some great freebies because I just don’t have the space to store them all! Being a single mother of 3 does not allow for “luxuries” like an external harddrive! (btw, in case you are wondering
, I got the computer and all it’s contents, including PS and 2 versions of PSP, in the divorce lol) Sorry, I’m getting off track here! lol I save all papers in .jpg format at 12X12, and all elements are saved in .png format because, as far as I know right now, those are the most universally accepted formats for all the various graphics editing programs out there.
If you have any further questions regarding my kits, please feel free to email me at shascraps at gmail dot com (sorry no linky, I hate spam!). I also have my Terms of Use (TOU) posted on my front page, in it’s own page and included in all downloadable files. Again, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I am thrilled to find your blog. You do an amazing job. TYSM
